Gaming Medium Episode 4 PS5 Release Date Revealed!

Not sure why Sony Computer Entertainment is not allowing EB Games to do pre-orders for the PlayStation 5. It’s concerning that gamers will have to wait in line to get a system that could have easily been pre-ordered then picked up.

Now people will need to stand in line and possibly expose themselves to a virus that no one can see. The release date for the PlayStation 5 will be in and around November 13th , the week before the Thanksgiving holiday weekend in the United States. Microsoft will unleash their new system around the same time.
It would be better if Sony like Intellivision delayed their system until early next year. When supplies will be better, and things will be less dangerous for consumers. Instead Sony is holding a lottery system. Gamers sign up for a chance to get to pre-order a system.

What kind of horse hockey are we playing here? The bots will be going nuts and getting the majority of the systems so they can be upsold for 2 to three times what they are worth by boot leggers.
Microsoft looks to be posed to try and take advantage of the Sony missteps, but very few gamers are interested in what the new Xbox Series X is selling. Given the issues with Xbox hardware in the past.

Gamers’ are over the different versions of Halo that didn’t deliver. Although this version of Halo looks to be a winner. The big question will be will gamers be willing to pony up $500 to play the new Halo.

The other issue that is concerning is that EA Sports doesn’t seem to have a plan to upgrade gamers to the PS5 version of Madden NFL 21. Sources are telling me that to play the game on the new system, those who bought the PS4 version or Xbox One version will need to buy an entirely new version of the game to play them on the new consoles.

Cyberpunk, NBA 2K21 and Avengers have already said they would provide codes for those gamers who buy current system versions of those games.
I would suggest buying those titles, but any current generation game that doesn’t offer that for gamers should not be purchased in my opinion.

I think a second wave of this crazy virus is going to hit us in early October and it’s going to make the launch of the new systems a little bit trickier than they should be.
If you have a gamer in your family, warn them that they might not get a PlayStation 5 this year.
The system is going to be in short supply, by all indications are pointing too many gamers being disappointed this holiday season!
Nintendo will be waiting in the wings with some fire power of their own to combat the disappointment from gamers who won’t be able to get their hands on a PlayStation 5 and who don’t want a Microsoft Xbox Series X.

A new version of Mario and some other high-profile ditties will be offered from Nintendo to make the Nintendo Switch more palatable.
We own three Nintendo Switches here at Gaming Medium headquarters and we like Tom Brady in the Super Bowl, would never bet against Nintendo.

Until the next time we look into the crystal ball of gaming, this is the Gaming Medium signing off!
