Call of Duty: Warzone Just Got Reloaded With a 200 Player Update

Over the last few months, Call of Duty: Warzone, the battle royale-themed spin-off to Modern Warfare, has become a huge sensation on the gaming scene. Despite the need for massive updates (we’re talking ones that go into the double digit GB range and beyond), the game has attracted millions of players. And today, Infinity Ward is set to take the game to the next level with its Season Four Reloaded update. Already live and kicking, the update indicates that “business is about to pick up in Verdansk,” according to the official company blog page. That’s because, for the first time ever, there will be the option to take on 200 players in a multiplayer match. That’s right, 200 players.
It’s a limited time mode, which means players won’t have long to see how they fare against 199 others. But it’s a neat addition that could very well circle around in future updates, with tweaks to keep things interesting as they go on.

Let’s detail exactly what the update has in store:
Supply Run Contracts With these, players will be able to stop by a nearby Buy Station and see what additional contracts are available for purchase. Managing to get there within the proper time frame can actually net you a discount on certain Buy Station purchases. (This might be a good time to get in a vehicle and head that way, because running may not be the best option when working against others.)

Juggernaut Royale
Let’s mix things up a bit with something more powerful, yes? With the right air drop package, you can become the Juggernaut, utilizing your mini gun to mow down enemies left and right while taking minimal damage. For good measure, you can also do some heavy damage to vehicles. If someone does manage to take down the Juggernaut, a new care package will be available; and another person will be able to give it a shot. Juggernauts for everyone, dang it!

New Tools For the Trade
There are already a number of strong assets available within Warzone that you can use to your advantage. But the Spotter Scope could be extremely helpful when it comes to planning your team’s tactics. With it, you can mark enemies and items within the environment without a hint of detection. Once that’s done, you can figure out your next move and plan accordingly – but be careful. You’re not the only one that has one of these Scopes on hand. For good measure, there’s also a great new sniper rifle available, the .50 caliber Rytec AMR. Get an enemy in your sights with one of these and, well, things will get messy.

A New Map and Mode For Your Pleasure
The update also introduces a new map, Cheshire Park. Located in beautiful London, England, you’ll be able to run through gardens, villages and more, laying waste to everything you come across. There’s a lot of hiding space and opportunity to take potshots at people here, so make sure you get a good lay of the land. While you’re at it, you can try out the new game mode, Team Defender. Originally introduced to the Call of Duty series over a decade ago, it’ll ask you to defend your flag while trying to get a hold of your opponent’s. As you carry the flag, you earn points. Turn it in and score a big bonus. If you can, that is, because attackers will be coming at you to take back what’s theirs. Because of course they will.

New Bundles For Your Buck
Call of Duty: Warzone is free to play, but you can purchase additional goods if you feel the need. This includes a new Starter Pack, which is available for $4.99. It includes 500 COD points, along with a Legendary Shotgun Blueprint – Amalgam; an Epic Krueger Skin – Alchemist; an Epic Calling Card – Breathing Easy; an Epic Emblem – Vulture Culture; and a free hour of Double Battle Pass XP, along with Double Weapon XP.
That’s not all. You can also purchase additional bundles that will spruce up your character, including the Rogue Operative bundle with a Legendary Assault Rifle Juliet blueprint; and a Golden Idol bundle, in which you’re pretty much covered in gold. See the picture below to see it in action.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now. If you haven’t joined the party just yet, you won’t find a better time. It’s available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
