Ever since EA Sports threw in the towel on their PGA Tour license and discontinued the Tiger Woods franchise and the one-off Rory McIlroy PGA Tour game, players have been looking for the next video hit the links with. As it turns out games will soon be able to tee up a game with an impressive course editor so they can design their own courses!
I have been a huge fan of golf games and I have played some of the best courses around the world including Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill course in Hawaii and his homestead course in Latrobe Pennsylvania. When this Pandemic is over, I’m getting a new set of clubs.
Gamers have been praying for a new golf game. Now it seems as though those prayers have been answered by 2K Sports and HB Studios (Atlantic Canada’s largest and highly successful
independent video game studio.
HB Studios has been dabbling in golf for a couple of years and they also did NBA Live 18 and NBA Live 19 for EA Sports. Both of those titles didn’t make a dent in 2K’s NBA 2K franchise sales, but they did make 2K Sports (owned by Take Two Interactive) sit up and take notice of the fledgling Canadian developer. Now the two have teamed up to bring out PGA Tour 2K21 and some release details will be available on May 14th.
In the meantime, strike up the band and play Oh Canada, the old version I’m not a fan of the new wording.
