So, the other day, we had mentioned in a story that EA was going to de-list four of their classic games from the digital storefront. There were three older Battlefield games in the crosshairs, including Bad Company 1 and 2. But the title of real concern? Mirror’s Edge.
That’s because that game was barely using EA’s online servers, and was mostly a single player adventure built around unique mechanics. This caused many players to cry foul over the game’s removal, to which EA has responded. It’s not going anywhere.
DICE confirmed in an updated post that, while the older Battlefield games are still leaving on April 28th , Mirror’s Edge will not. They noted that the game’s inclusion “was an error,” and players will still be able to find and purchase it after that date. Whew. Guess it is “Still Alive,” eh?
That said, it definitely wouldn’t hurt to add it to your library sooner rather than later, given that it’s still a stellar game after all these years. Check out the trailer below to see it in action!
