Ever since it was hinted at a few months ago, players have been wondering what’s going on with the Crash Bandicoot multiplayer game that’s in the works at Toys For Bob. Well, now we know.
The developer, alongside Activision, has revealed Crash Team Rumble, which is set to debut on June 20th for Xbox and PlayStation consoles. It will retail for $29.99, though you can get the Deluxe Edition, which comes with a second Season Battle Pass and a Digital Proto Pack, loaded with extra skins, for $10 more.
In the game, players take on each other in battle arenas, collecting items, activating platforms and taking out other players. Thus far, it looks very promising, though also far different from other Crash Bandicoot games you’ve seen on the market. In other words, it’s kind of like a MOBA, but with a neat all-ages multiplayer hook.
If you’re interested in trying it out, good news. There’s a multiplayer beta for the game happening from April 20 through 24, and it should be crossplay across all platforms. Pre-orders are available for now, which should guarantee you a spot in the beta.
So get ready, Crash fans, your hero will soon return!
