Bandai Namco has been hard at work on various Dragon Ball Z games over the years. However, one series that’s been surprisingly dormant is Budokai Tenkaichi. There hasn’t been a new traditional release in this series since the late 2000’s, though its popularity continued to be through the roof.
Worry no more, however. During a press announcement yesterday, the publisher confirmed that it’s bringing back Budokai Tenkaichi for another go-around. The company debuted a teaser trailer for “a New Budokai Tenkaichi,” noting that it was on the way but still early in development.
You can watch the trailer in the tweet below.

Platforms for the release weren’t confirmed yet, but this new game will likely hit the Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC, provided that Bandai Namco hasn’t lined up some sort of exclusive deal just yet.
We’ll see what the future holds, but I’m sure many fans are thrilled to see Goku and company back in Budokai Tenkaichi action.
