Sony aired its latest State of Play special today, and it didn’t disappoint.
The special featured some new PSVR titles, as well as details on a few indies. But there were also surprises, and a bunch of new footage for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
Let’s take a closer look at some of the highlights.
Baldur’s Gate III Is PS5 Bound
In probably one of the biggest announcements of the show, Larian Studios confirmed that its latest Baldur’s Gate adventure will arrive on PlayStation 5 at the end of August. And to celebrate, it released the above trailer, leaving us wanting more.
PlayStation Plus Games For March 2023
We thought we would have to wait for Sony to reveal its big PlayStation Plus games for 2023.
But, surprise, we know what’s coming our way on the 8th. Battlefield 2042, Minecraft Dungeons (yep, a Microsoft game…hmmmm) and Code Vein will join the party.
In addition, five new games have been announced for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, set to arrive in mid-March. They include Tchia, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, Immortals Fenyx Rising, Rainbow Six Extraction and Ghostwire: Tokyo. More will likely join the fray as well, including a few classics.
Resident Evil 4 Remake Is Getting a Demo
Resident Evil 4 Remake is just a few short weeks away. But those that want to see what the game has to offer can enjoy a new demo, set to arrive before the game’s release. In addition, the Mercenaries mode will make a return as free DLC down the road. The game arrives on March 24th.
Zangief, Lily and Cammy Join Street Fighter 6
Capcom debuted a new trailer for Street Fighter 6 that introduces three faces to the franchise all over again, just looking for a fight. The game is set to arrive on June 2nd.
Destiny 2: Lightfall Gets a Trailer
Set to arrive next week, the latest expansion to Destiny 2 looks pretty wild. Check out the trailer below!
A Naruto Legacy
Bandai Namco is hard at work on a new collection of Naruto games, titled Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, which will arrive later this year for PlayStation consoles.
Wayfinder Finds Its Way
The indie multiplayer Wayfinder is set to debut sometime this year, and soon you’ll be able to take part in a beta. It starts on February 28th and really shows you what the game is about. The final game will arrive on PS4 and PS5 this May.
Yes, Suicide Squad
Finally, Suicide Squad from WB Games took the stage with several minutes of new gameplay footage, as well as details for its live-service features and Battle Pass. You can check out the game in action above, which also brings Wonder Woman into the fray. On top of that, Rocksteady Studios debuted a new behind-the-scenes vignette for the game, which you can see below.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League arrives on May 26th.
