So you may recall a SNES game in 1993 released by Konami called Cybernator. It’s a side- scrolling action game that puts you in a heavily mechanized suit, capable of blasting enemies to pieces.
It was a cult classic, to be sure, but you may be unaware that it was originally known as Assault Suits Valken before it was released here. It’s a tough game to come by now (darn collectors), but here’s a good chance for you to get it for modern consoles!
Rainmaker Productions, working alongside the developers at M2, are bringing Assault Suit Valken to Switch. The game should be a pretty exact port of Cybernator, but with some minor changes so that it’s under its original name.
What’s interesting is that this game will be more uncensored, unlike the U.S. version. In addition, M2 will also include save states, retro screen filters and unlockable cheats to make the game a little bit easier. There will also be an option to choose between arranged and original soundtracks, and the game will also have production artwork as well. And you can also check out an interview with producer Satoshi Nakai.
Check out the trailer below and get ready to blast off with this SNES favorite again next month!
