There’s been a lot of talk about Sony’s PlayStation 5 slate, which has been featured in the below trailer. And while we’ll be seeing some love from Insomniac Games with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 this fall, there’s no sign of Wolverine. So…what’s up with that?
As you can see, the trailer focused on Spider-Man, as well as other third-party games and the Horizon Forbidden West DLC that will debut this spring. But Insomniac Games’ take on the legendary Marvel character isn’t coming this year.
Of course, it makes sense why. The team is hard at work on Spider-Man 2, which will pair Peter Parker and Miles Morales together as they take on Venom and other dangerous foes. That project alone has a lot to live up to, so it makes sense that the developer doesn’t want to rush that and Wolverine out the door at the same time.
That said, however, there is a distinct possibility that we could see a first early gameplay trailer for Wolverine later this year. That’s not a sure bet, but once Spider-Man 2 releases, the developer will then be able to focus on the razor-clawed X-Men character and show what they
can do with him. We’ll see what lies ahead as the year goes on. In the meantime, check out the trailer above and prepare for some PlayStation goodness!
