After spending a good deal of time racking up attention on the Nintendo Switch, Monster Hunter Rise is set to get into the hunt on new platforms.
Though Capcom has yet to make an official announcement (it’s expected tonight at The Game Awards), listings have begun appearing for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox versions of Rise, which are expected to arrive on January 20th. This is expected to be the core game without the Sunbreak expansion, at least for the moment.
But that plan could change based on the announcement.
One thing is known, however. It’s been confirmed that the game will not receive a physical release for PS4, PS5 and Xbox. It’ll be digital only, leaving the Nintendo Switch version as the only one to have a physical edition.
The game has been a best seller on the Switch front since its release last year, clearing 11 million copies sold before the release of the Sunbreak expansion.
One other thing worth noting is that Monster Hunter Rise will also be an Xbox Game Pass title on day one, based on an Xbox listing for the game. So prepare, fans, the monster hunt comes for you!
