Just as predicted, EA lifted the hood on the latest Need For Speed game that’s coming our way this year – and it’s a beast.
Developed by Criterion Games, Need For Speed Unbound features a neat new art style that stands out from other games. It’s mostly anime themed, but built around a world that’s likely to be familiar to those that played Need For Speed Underground.
The game will only be new-gen, which means PS5, Xbox Series S/X and PC only. That said, it’ll be jam packed with racing goodness.
“Race against time, outsmart the cops, and take on weekly qualifiers to reach The Grand, Lakeshore’s ultimate street racing challenge,” EA notes in the video, featuring rap star A$AP Rocky. “Pack your garage with precision-tuned, custom rides and light up the streets with your style, exclusive fits, and a vibrant global soundtrack that bumps in every corner of the world.”
We’ll have to see how this fares in just a few weeks, as the game drops on December 2nd. However, given Criterion Games’ impressive track record, we probably have nothing to fear. Bring on the racing!
