This weekend was all about Ubisoft Forward, and what the company had in store for the future.
But one franchise in particular that got a ton of focus was Assassin’s Creed, as there are many games coming down the road for fans.
First up is Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which was announced last week and received its first official trailer today. Coming in 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series and PC, the game revolves around
Basim as he transforms from a young thief to a master assassin in the city of Baghdad. You can check out the trailer below.
Ubisoft also confirmed the existence of Assassin’s Creed Infinity, or as it’s known, Project Infinity. It’s essentially a “single entry point for fans into the Assassin’s Creed franchise into the future.” In short, it acts as a multiplayer hub. Details were sketchy past that, but it’s nice to know it exists and, at some point, it’ll come out down the road.
Next up is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which will get one more piece of DLC, The Last Chapter, later this year. As noted, it will be free of charge to players, and will conclude the story of Eivor in a worthwhile fashion. A release date wasn’t given, but it’s expected before the holidays, so we’ll keep you posted.
While there was no sign of the rumored Assassin’s Creed 1 remake, there were two more projects worth noting. The first is the mysterious Assassin’s Creed: Codename Hexe, which features a witch-style approach and has very few details about it. But it looks promising, and hopefully we’ll learn more about it next year.
We work in the dark…

The next one is a real surprise – Assassin’s Creed Codename Red, which will finally bring the series to feudal Japan. Details are light on this project as well, but the first trailer is below and really gives you an idea of what to expect. Now it’s just a matter of when.
There will also be an Assassin’s Creed multiplayer game, codenamed Invictus, that’s coming down the road, and could reintroduce classic characters from the series into one big smorgasbord of action. Alas, no details about this one either, but we’ll see what comes of it.
Finally, there’s a new mobile game, codenamed Assassin’s Creed Jade, which will come out reportedly next year, and will take place in China. We’re waiting on more information on this one as well, but it’s nice to see it take the, ahem, leap to mobile.
