Sony isn’t wasting any time hyping up the pre-order program it has in place for Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. The company revealed that those who pre-order the game digitally will have access to the game’s Campaign starting on October 20th, getting a full week to experience what the story will have to offer before the game officially launches on October 28th.
The Campaign will feature a number of missions across Asia, Europe and the Americas, as Task Force 141 faces its “greatest threat yet” – a “newly aligned menace with deep connections.”
More about the story is expected to be revealed during the Call of Duty Next presentation, taking place on September 15th.
Sony also detailed the multiplayer beta weekends, which can be accessed before the Open Beta by pre-ordering the game on a PlayStation platform. The first Beta weekend will launch on
Friday, September 16th, running through Tuesday, September 20th. This will be exclusively on PlayStation 4 and 5.
From there, a Crossplay enabled beta will be available, running from September 22nd through September 26th. Everyone will be able to access this, as this will be the open Beta.
Finally, during Call of Duty: Next, Activision is set to reveal even more details – and possibly more news about how to access the game and what’s coming next. We’ll let you know more details on when it’s ready to air!
