Following the debacle that was WWE 2K20, many were wondering if WWE and 2K Games would continue their partnership after their final game. Well, it looks like they are.
The publisher bounced back earlier this year with the stellar WWE 2K22, which sold double as many copies as 2K20 and became a huge hit with fans. Now, Take-Two, the owners of 2K Games, have confirmed they will continue their partnership with the wrestling company, officially putting WWE 2K23 on board for some time next year.
The game is slated to arrive in “fiscal 2023,” which could be around the same period in 2023 that we saw WWE 2K22 release in. We’ll likely know more details in the months ahead.
During a recent earnings call, the company confirmed that WWE 2K22 was a massive hit, though specific sales numbers weren’t given. Still, it’s a big improvement over 2K20, and has a loaded roster (complete with DLC), so it’s not a total shock.
We’ll see where the series goes from here, but nice bounce back! Check out our review for more info.
