Over the course of EVO 2K this weekend, we’ve seen a number of big announcements for fighting games. But perhaps the biggest of them all is the latest project coming from SNK. Along with confirming rollback netcode for Samurai Shodown next year, the company announced that it’s also hard at work on a new game in the Fatal Fury/Garou timeline! There’s no word on a release date, but you can watch the trailer below.
The series has been on hiatus for a while as SNK worked on both Samurai and its latest release, The King of Fighters XV. However, it looks like it’s making a return to the series, which will be a welcome relief for fans.
The last big game we saw was Garou: Mark of the Wolves, a solid 2D brawler that came out…in 1999? Man, we’re old.
We’ll let you know more information about the game as soon as it’s available!
