Hot on the heels of its best-selling Sega Genesis Mini from a couple of years back, Sega has once again returned to the all-in-one console market with a sequel.
The company revealed that the Sega Genesis Mini 2 will make its way to store shelves on October 27th for $99.99. Though that’s a little more expensive than the original Mini, it comes with a six-button controller right off the bat, along with 50 games, including various Sega CD titles.
The full game list hasn’t been revealed just yet, but here’s what is confirmed thus far for the system, with more reveals expected in the months ahead. Keep in mind that games that were included on the original Mini won’t return for the Mini 2. These are all new games.

The trailer below will give you an idea of what’s in store for the system. But it’ll be about the same as the Sega Genesis Mini in terms of size. However, having a six-button controller right in the box is going to be a tremendous value for some.
Hopefully we’ll see more obscure games added, like Rocket Knight Adventures, Burning Force and Marvel Land. Genesis does!
