Soooooo you remember how a few years ago, Sony made its own brand of PlayStation 3D TV to work with PlayStation 3 and its line-up of 3D games? Well, it might just be doing that again for PlayStation 5…but without the 3D.
Industry journalist and leaker Tom Henderson has struck again, indicating that Sony is getting into the gaming hardware line-up once more, this time with two new monitors that will work best with PlayStation 5.
According to Henderson, the monitors will have 4K and 1080p variations, along with features to bring out the most in the system’s qualities. That and apparently they’ll be “perfect for PS5.”
The monitors will also reportedly have “gaming assist features” of some kind, including an “auto genre picture mode” to adjust to whatever game the player is enjoying, as well as HDR tone mapping.
Sony hasn’t confirmed these yet, but there is a rumored State of Play set to take place later in the month, where these could easily take center stage. There’s also rumor that several exclusive PS5 headsets will also be introduced, but we’ll see soon enough.
