During the Final Fantasy VII 25th Anniversary Celebration stream yesterday, Square Enix promised some big surprises. And boy, did it deliver.
First up, a follow-up to Final Fantasy VII Remake is officially happening. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is on the way, set to arrive exclusively on PlayStation 5 sometime in winter 2023. The debut trailer is below, giving you an idea of what’s in store for fans of the series, along with those trying it for the first time.
In addition, another Final Fantasy VII favorite is console-bound – Crisis Core! A remake of the hit game, featuring the awesome Zack Fair, is on the way with the official name Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII – Reunion. A bit long, sure, but who cares when you’ve got an awesome PSP game getting the console treatment?
The game will arrive on consoles and PC sometime this winter. Check out the trailer for that game below!
