When Doom Eternal came out for the Nintendo Switch a while back, owners didn’t have much of a choice when it came to getting it, since it was a digital-release only at the time. However, it looks like an option is about to open up for collectors.
During its annual showcase yesterday, Limited Run Games revealed that it will publish a physical version of the hit Bethesda sequel for Nintendo Switch, giving it the full run on a cartridge. There’s no word yet if the full game will fit on it, but it seems very possible.
The game will be ready to pre-order starting on July 8th, with standard and Steelbook editions available, along with collectible Ultimate and Special editions for fans of the series. The regular edition will start at $59.00, and others will go up in price from there.
You can watch the showcase below, which features a number of physical and digital releases coming over the year, as well as some fun with the Mega 64 squad. Here’s to forever physical!
