Just days before the game is set to make its debut on Xbox Game Pass (and likely PlayStation Plus Premium as well), Ubisoft has announced that a new patch is in place for Assassin’s Creed Origins, set to go live on June 2nd. With it, the game will see a frame rate increase on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X, bumping it up to 60 frames per second. Ubisoft confirmed the details in a new tweet, along with a neat new image to go along with it.

There’s a good chance that patches will follow for other Assassin’s Creed games as well, including the hit Odyssey, as well as possibly Black Flag and Syndicate. The company hasn’t laid out these plans just yet, but hopefully we’ll learn more soon.
Assassin’s Creed Origins received critical acclaim when it launched back in 2017, when many considered it one of the strongest entries in the series. It also sold millions of copies and continues to be a modest hit today, even with Odyssey and Valhalla making the rounds. With its exposure on Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Premium this month, it’ll likely soar even higher.
We’ll see how it goes, but in the meantime, be sure to enjoy the new update when it arrives!
