So you might have seen our news story the other day about Blair Witch developers Bloober Team working on a potential Silent Hill 2 remake for the folks at Konami. Today, the company decided to comment on the matter, but it’s really just added to the mystery behind it.
While the dev didn’t confirm the project, it appears that it didn’t formally deny it either. Aside from Konami DMCA takedowns and other stuff being removed surrounding the game, the company didn’t have much to add.
Speaking with IGN, studio head Piotr Babieno noted, “We cannot comment on anything we are doing because we appreciate our relationship with our partners, of course. We will make an announcement about our future projects as soon as we can. So, then you will know much more. Officially.”
And to make that “officially” hit a little closer to home, Piotr chortled at the end of it, hinting that the company’s secret might have gotten out. For now, though, it’s keeping its cards close to its chest, waiting for the right time to reveal. Hopefully, that means sometime next month, either with Microsoft’s press conference or the Summer Game Fest. We shall see.
