Surprise! After the team got acquired by Epic Games a little while back, Mediatonic’s hit game Fall Guys is ready to take the free-to-play route!
The company announced that the game will begin going free-to-play this June on PlayStation platforms. In addition, it’ll also come to Xbox platforms, Nintendo Switch and PC via Epic Games Store (bye, Steam) around the same time. The PlayStation 5 version will also see an update to truly use the system’s potential to its greatest strength.
In addition, a new update will come to the game during that period, launching with Season 7 (or Season 1 for those hopping on the free-to-play train). That means more competition, especially with the crossplay and progression coming to all versions of the game.
As for those that purchased the game beforehand, you’ll get some rewards for your efforts – two new costumes, Veggie Dogg, and Feisty Dwarf. There’s more that will come your way as well.
