We know that Rockstar Games has been pushing as of late to bring its experiences into next-gen, especially with its recent Grand Theft Auto V re-release for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X. But what game’s next? Well, it looks like Red Dead Redemption 2.
The hit Western game could soon see a current-gen patch. A leaked report from Twitter’s AccountNgt indicated about the patch, “It’s coming. I don’t have much.” The tweet was reportedly taken down a little bit later. And before you say, “Well, that could be anyone,” this Twitter account has previously reported on rumors that came true, like Forspoken being delayed into 2023.
But when will we get an announcement about the patch? Well, it could literally be anywhere. Microsoft has a huge showcase coming up next month; the Summer Game Fest is right around the corner; and we could see Sony hosting something as well. We’ll see what unfolds in the meantime.
For now, Red Dead Redemption 2 is fully playable on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X, and doesn’t look half bad. But imagine it with a frame rate improvement and other awesome details. We’re drooling already.
