Respawn Entertainment has been so busy with Apex Legends and the reported sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order that we’ve seemingly forgotten that the company worked on the Titanfall franchise. But little reminders have begun appearing, indicating that a third chapter in the ongoing first-person action series might be on the way!
A number of users over at GameStop in Germany have reported that pre-orders for Titanfall 3 have begun appearing online, complete with very early promo art for the game. Usually, GameStop doesn’t set up pre-orders unless the game is already confirmed. But this isn’t happening online, but apparently in-store.
EA hasn’t said a word about the future of Titanfall, as it seemed more focused on getting Apex Legends to continue going with its momentum. And, of course, there’s the Fallen Order sequel rumors that are heating up as well. That said, Respawn has handled multiple projects in the past; and a fully established Titanfall 3 wouldn’t be the worst thing to have out there. In fact, it’d damn near be the best.
Neither company have spoken about the game just yet, so when we’ll actually see it happen is a good question. EA won’t be holding its annual EA Play event this year, after all, so the reveal could happen any day now. We’ll just have to see what’s in store in the months ahead. Fingers crossed, though!
