Activision confirmed a little while ago that the next game for the Call of Duty franchise would be a sequel to the best-selling Modern Warfare, which came out in 2019. And though we’re still waiting on story details, we have – at the very least – a logo.
Pictured above, the logo was part of a reveal that recently took place on the Call of Duty Twitter account. You can see that tweet below, along with a look at the stylish white and green logo.

That’s all we know at the moment, as Activision has held off any further details. However, we do know that it’ll be for multiple platforms, despite the company’s acquisition by Microsoft a few months ago. And, for that matter, it’ll come later this year.
Also, you can probably expect some long-term support for the game, at least for a while. That’s because, for the first time since the series’ inception, we won’t see a new Call of Duty game next year. Instead, Treyarch will release its next title sometime in 2024. What it is is hardly anyone’s guess, but Black Ops V wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility.
For now, all eyes are on Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare II, which should be revealed this summer before arriving later this year.
