Tired of Animal Crossing, are you? No, you’re not. You’re still loving it after all this game. But make some room next year, as Gameloft has a new Disney adventure that’s sure to challenge those little critters for the throne.
The company has announced Disney Dreamlight Valley, a magical free-to-play adventure that’s coming for consoles and PC sometime in 2023. In it, players will be able to guide a virtual character across a magical land inspired by all things Disney and Pixar. Along the way, you’ll be able to engage in a variety of activities with familiar characters, including favorites from all sorts of their universes.
After customizing your character with various pieces of gear, you’ll be able to hit the streets and hang out with the likes of Buzz Lightyear, Goofy, Mickey Mouse, Moana, and countless others. You can engage in different activities, including fishing with Goofy and even cooking a meat alongside Remy from Ratatouille. (A good one, mind you.)
You’ll need to explore the village to find the Night Thorns. This ties in with a much bigger story, one in which you can save your beloved city from The Forgetting. More details about this are likely to be revealed as time goes on.
There’s no word yet if the Marvel and Star Wars universes will be involved with Disney Dreamlight Valley, but not likely. A beta will kick off this summer on Xbox Game Pass (or by buying a founder’s pack) before it hits consoles and PC next year. Check out the trailer below!
