It’s been a good while since we’ve seen an entry in LucasArts’ classic Monkey Island series, featuring some of the most hilarious point-and-click adventure you’ll find out there. But good news, mateys – it’s back!
Lucasfilm Games announced that it’s working with Devolver Digital and original Monkey Island creator Ron Gilbert to bring the franchise back. Welcome to Return To Monkey Island!
Though little is known about the story, Gilbert’s fully in charge of it, and there are other famed developers attached as well. These include Michael Land, Michael McConnell, and Clint Bajakian. Co-writer David Grossman is returning as well.
The trailer is below, and hints at the pirating fun that’s to come with the game’s release. Platforms haven’t been revealed, but current-gen and past-gen consoles are expected, along with PC. Now walk the plank, ya land lubber!
