The developers at Supermassive Games have been quite busy as of late. After making the hit Until Dawn for Sony, it’s been producing a killer Dark Pictures Anthology for Bandai Namco. And it’s not done yet, as it’s making a trip down to The Quarry for 2K Games.
Set to release on June 10th, the game is described as an “interactive narrative experience,” where the story can change depending on your decisions. That also means the characters’ lives could literally be in your hands, as you try and guide nine teenage counselors to safety on the last day of summer camp.
Of course, that isn’t easy, as something “far more sinister” is starting to hunt them down. Every move they make could be their last, so they’ll need to act quickly.
The game stars David Arquette of Scream fame, along with Justice Smith (Pokémon: Detective Pikachu), Ariel Winter (Modern Family) and Brenda Song (Dollface). Lance Henriksen, a veteran actor of Aliens and Hard Target fame, is also on board, alongside A Nightmare On Elm Street’s Lin Shaye.
The cool thing about The Quarry is a mode where eight players can take part, with each one playing different counselors. There’s also a traditional Movie Mode, where players can decide the fate of the story and watch it all play out.
The game will release for Xbox platforms, Sony platforms and PC. Check out the trailer below and prepare to get spooked!
