While Grand Theft Auto V hasn’t really gotten any add-on content since its release nearly a decade ago (!), its online component, Grand Theft Auto Online, has seen a ton of stuff, including in-game events, item offerings and more. Now, things are about to get even bigger, with a touch from the masterful rap artist Dr. Dre.
A new add-on is set to arrive (for free) on December 15th, with Franklin Clinton from the main game returning to the fold. It will follow his life several years after the events of GTA V, as he now runs a “celebrity solutions agency catering to the Vinewood elite in need of solutions to high-society problems.” Of course, that means trouble in some aspect, since this is GTA after all.
According to Rockstar Games’ description, “Franklin needs two things: a reliable partner and a big-ticket, high-profile client. With your long time LS contact – and newly aspiring cannabis entrepreneur – Lamar Davis making the connection, you can be the partner that helps Franklin take the business to the next level.”
There’s more, too. “On the other side of the city, DJ Pooh has been reaching out to Franklin about an exciting potential client: his close friend, Dr. Dre.” That’s where the legendary NWA member – and creator of those Beats headsets – comes into play.
Check out the add-on, The Contract, in the trailer below, and prepare to enter the world of Grand Theft Auto Online by picking up the game now for consoles and PC. It’s set to debut on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X, with noted enhancements, early next year.
