Even though you can already play his older adventures on the platform already, Nathan Drake will finally make his debut on the PlayStation 5 in a big way next month.
Sony confirmed in a recent announcement that Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will make its debut on PlayStation 5 starting on January 28th, with the previously announced PC version arriving sometime later in 2022.
The collection features both Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and the spin-off adventure Uncharted: The Lost Legacy in fully remastered glory. Fans can choose to play in fidelity mode, with 4K support and 30 frames per second; or bump things up to 60 frames per second. There’s also a Performance+ mode for people that want the truly highest resolution at 120 frames per second, though they’ll need a 120hz supported television to do so.
Supporting the DualSense controller with better features and also coming with 3D Audio, the ports promise to be better than ever. You can actually feel the action better than ever as a result.
Now…pricing. The collection itself will go for $49.99. But Sony has also added a gracious option for those that own either A Thief’s End or The Lost Legacy, only having to pay $10 as a result. Not a bad way to go if you want the best of Nathan and company.
That said…the new games will not have any sort of multiplayer features. It’ll be all about that single player action only. One final note – those that purchase or upgrade to this version of the game will receive a voucher code for a free movie ticket for the Uncharted film starring Tom Holland. It releases in February, and the ticket will be sent to eligible players before release.
