So you might have seen the rumors a little earlier this season, indicating that Rockstar Games was aiming to bring back its classic Grand Theft Auto trilogy from the PS2 era for a new generation of players to enjoy. The company didn’t announce anything, but the rumors certainly gained some momentum. Now, they’ve hit full steam.
That’s because, according to Kotaku, a new listing over on Korea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee indicates that the remaster, including Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, is in the works for PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as possibly the PC and Nintendo Switch. This would bring the games back to the forefront, and give players something to enjoy while waiting for the next-gen ports of Grand Theft Auto V to arrive early next year. What’s more, the board hints that the games could still come out next month.
Again, Rockstar hasn’t said a word, but considering the timeliness of the rumors, there is a possibility we could see an announcement within the coming days. That’s a guess, of course, but one that we put a whole lot of good vibes behind. C’mon, guys, make it happen!
