Ubisoft’s The Crew 2 continues to thrive thanks to some meaty game updates and new content.
But, eventually, the series will move on to a new chapter – and we might have a good idea of where it’s heading.
Per a Reddit user named RacingGameGuru0300, some files have been found in the latest update for The Crew 2, indicating a new update known as The Crew 2: Orlando. Some believe this is the latest DLC for the current game…but known insider Tom Henderson believes differently.
According to Henderson’s tweet, this isn’t DLC at all, but groundwork for a potential third chapter. “It’s currently just dubbed as The Crew: Orlando and is a completely new game with a new driving engine. Currently in pre-Alpha & no set release date.” And what’s more, he noted that the game will apparently take place in Hawaii, a nice new locale for the series.
Granted, Ubisoft hasn’t said a word about a sequel yet, considering how well The Crew 2 is currently performing. But, like we said, there’s always room for a follow-up, so it could be a matter of when, not if.
In the meantime, The Crew 2 is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Stadia.
