It appears that Electronic Arts is starting to feel the fallout from the lack of Star Wars exclusivity. We know that Ubisoft is working on a new game from the franchise; we know that a remake of Knights of the Old Republic is in the works; and there’s several other games coming down the pipeline.
Now some news has come about that Quantic Dream, the creators of Beyond: Two Souls and Heavy Rain, may be working on something within the Star Wars universe.
This comes from known leaker extraordinaire Tom Henderson, who recently suggested on Twitter that Quantic Dream is hard at work on a game, with an image featuring a character from Detroit: Become Human mixed in with two lightsabers. He didn’t state what the project was, or what it entailed, but if this were a possibility, it could make for a rather interesting game within the Star Wars universe.
Video Games Chronicle added to this speculation, noting that French YouTuber Gautoz also “leaked” the game’s potential reveal, though, again, nothing is official.
Quantic hasn’t revealed what it’s working on next, but it’d be interesting to see if this actually comes to fruition. The studio hasn’t said a word, nor has LucasFilm, the rights holders to the Star Wars franchise.
Maybe we’ll see something announced later this year…? Fingers crossed.
