One of THQ’s bigger surprises that’s set for its special broadcast this Friday has accidentally been let out of the bag – and it’s all Crypto’s fault.
In an accidental trailer release, the company has revealed that a remake of Destroy All Humans 2 is in the works, under the co-name Reprobed. The trailer showcases a number of Crypto’s special talents as he does what he always does best – tries to take over the world!
The game looks to be coming out for all major platforms, including PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and likely Nintendo Switch. And based on what we’ve seen, it should be a real looker. The game follows the events of the first Destroy game, ten years after Crypto’s invasion in 1969. The world has certainly changed, but Crypto isn’t about to let the humans have all the fun. So he returns with a number of new weapons and techniques to make them suffer like no one’s business. But can he top the most dangerous military men out there?!
Like the original remake, Reprobed is being handled by Black Forest Games, and we’ll likely get a closer look at the “official” trailer once it drops this Friday. There’s no word on a release date, but sometime in 2022 seems very likely.
In the meantime, the original Destroy All Humans 2 is available for purchase on the PlayStation Store, and also playable on Xbox backward compatibility, we believe.
