Even though it’s sold over 100 million copies and continues to be a juggernaut in sales today, not all things Grand Theft Auto V seem to be generating excitement.
Following the news that the PlayStation 5 version would be delayed to spring 2022 (with the Xbox versions likely to follow), there’s been a bit of backlash about the game. In fact, some users have already taken to social media to sound off on how tired they are of seeing Grand Theft Auto V pop up again and again.
Over on the official YouTube page for PlayStation, the game has a massive 81,000 negative votes against 22,000 positive votes – unheard of for a best-seller like this. In addition, some people have left some interesting notes:
“Is this really expanded and enhanced? It looks no different then (sp) the PS4 version. They even showed the deluxos at the end blowing people up beven though a lot of players hate the futuristic vehicles.”
Another was quick to say, “Remember when Straus Zelnick from Take-Two said” we don’t do simple ports” for remastered titles. This trailer surely says otherwise, there seems to be no significant changes and it looks almost exactly the same as the PS4/Xbox One version.” And another critiqued the “seamless character switching,” noting that’s what the gameplay trailer for the PS3 version promised way back in 2013. Then there’s Twitter, and, well, you can guess what people posted.

Despite the comments, the game should sell pretty well on the PlayStation 5. And those that bought the PS4 version will get a free upgrade, so at least they don’t have to worry about that.
