Today’s PlayStation Showcase took a little while to get going, but, boy, once it did, it didn’t disappoint. It featured some new projects from Naughty Dog and Insomniac Games, as well as a first look at both Gran Turismo 7 and God of War: Ragnarok!
Let’s take a look and see what all got revealed in the rundown!
God of War: Ragnarok
Kratos has his hands full in this long-awaited follow-up, made with the power of PlayStation 5. Here, he’s battling all sorts of enemies, including a hint at what’s to come with his scrum with the mighty Thor. There’s no word on release date just yet, but this is expected in late 2022 or possibly 2023.
Spider-Man 2
As expected, Spider-Man will make a return, with Insomniac Games bringing back the wall- crawler alongside Miles Morales for a new adventure. And, surprise, Venom is making the trip as well. It’ll be a bit, though, as it’s not slated to arrive until 2023.
Gran Tourismo 7
Polyphony Digital’s latest race around the track doesn’t look disappointing in the least, especially on PlayStation 5. It also appears to be loaded up with social features aplenty, along with some smooth racing. And it’s coming sooner than expected, dropping on March 5!
Uncharted comes to PS5!
Naughty Dog has been hard at work on remastering the Uncharted games for PS5, including the original four adventures and The Lost Legacy. Though we’re not sure when they’re set to arrive, they do look better than ever, based on the trailer below.
Wolverine
Let’s go, bub! Alongside Spider-Man, Insomniac Games is hard at work on a PlayStation 5 exclusive starring the mighty Wolverine. Expect more details on this one in the months ahead.
Deathloop
With the game set to debut this Tuesday, a new trailer for Deathloop has arrived, showing even more gameplay and madness than you can shake a stick at!
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy
The new Guardians of the Galaxy trailer didn’t disappoint, filling us in more about the story and providing an even deeper look at combat. We can’t wait to dive into this one come late October.
Knights of the Old Republic Remake
It’s official – KOTOR is returning for PS5 owners to enjoy, with Aspyr handling the remake of BioWare’s legendary title. Now we just need to see some gameplay and we’ll be set!
Ghostwire Tokyo
Ghostwire Tokyo looks pretty nuts based on this new trailer, with a world wallowing in darkness, and a strange hero being its only savior. Look for this one sometime in 2022.
Grand Theft Auto V
Both Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online are primed for their next-gen debut, but we’ll have to wait a little bit longer. It’s set to arrive sometime in March 2022.
Alan Wake Remastered
It’s not a lake, it’s an ocean! The long-awaited return of Alan Wake takes place on October 5th. And hopefully, we’ll see this release as a PlayStation Plus title. Please?
Forspoken
Forspoken looks like a neat little game from Square Enix, an adventure with an outspoken hero teaming up with an ancient weapon to save a world from destruction. More, please.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands
Heck yeah! Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands looks like a magical little adventure, filled with thrilling enemy battles and a whole lot of loot. It drops on March 25th, so be prepared to scavenge!
Project EVE
Very little is known about this third-person action/adventure game. But it looks pretty bad-ass. Expect more details on this one in the months ahead!
