Although Sony looks to have a pretty solid line-up for the holiday season, rumors indicate that it could be without a pretty big title.
This comes from the latest episode of the Giant Bomb show Grubbsnax. On the show, GamesBeat’s Jeff Grubb noted that Guerrilla Games is expected to delay the game into sometime in 2022, citing that it still needs time for development. “I’ve heard, not certain, but I’ve heard that something’s coming in September and… I’m trying to debate if I want to be the one to say this… I think ‘that game’ is going to get delayed to 2022,” he noted.
Sony hasn’t said a word about the game, but Grubb went on to say that he expects Sony to announce the delay sometime next month, when a special State of Play is reportedly set to be aired.
Sony has hinted in the past that the game has a “holiday 2021” release window, so it was set at one point for release this year.
And it hasn’t said a word on the matter, so, hey, it might still come our way. We’ll just have to wait and see what’s in store. In the meantime, check out the latest gameplay footage below!
