For those of you that picked up Marvel’s Avengers, you’ve already got a jam-packed adventure filled with superhero excitement and a lot of villains to take down. But the world is about to expand even more, as Wakanda is ready to make its debut in the game. Square Enix confirmed that Black Panther and his new story expansion for Crystal Dynamics’ officially licensed Marvel game will make their debut on August 17th. Previously announced (and briefly shown) at E3 2021, the expansion will feature God of War star Christopher Judge as the masked hero, who teams up with the Avengers to take on a dangerous threat.
The War For Wakanda promises hours of fun, as well as a new multiplayer Drop Zone and the debut of the Bimin Zana Outpost.
Oh, and best of all, it’s free.
What’s more, players can get a glimpse into the world starting on August 16th at 6PM BST during a special War Table broadcast, which is available right here on Twitch. It’ll be a good chance to see what goes down before you jump into the shoes of the powerful hero.
And for those that haven’t tried Marvel’s Avengers yet, there’s a free all-access weekend happening, running from now through August 1st across all platforms, including PlayStation 5. What’s more, if you buy the game during this time, you’ll score it for 50 percent off!
