EA Sports isn’t about to let another year go by without some soccer dominance.
The publisher formally announced the forthcoming FIFA 22, which is set to arrive on PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch platforms on October 1st. On newer platforms, the game will utilize HyperMotion technology to make it look better than ever before.
“FIFA 22 offers millions of fans around the world a chance to engage with the sport they love in an unprecedented way,” said Nick Wlodyka, GM, EA SPORTS FIFA. “Each player experiences FIFA in their own way but on-pitch gameplay is the unifying constant, so we’re excited to offer deep innovation there. HyperMotion elevates that even further on next-gen consoles and Stadia and completely changes the feel of the game.”
Various modes will make their return, including Volta Football, Career Mode and FIFA Ultimate Team, along with other upcoming features, will likely be revealed next week during the EA Play presentation.
Paris Saint-Germain player Kylian Mbappe will appear on the game’s cover, and take part in hyping the game. This marks his second appearance on a FIFA game cover.
Check out the debut trailer below, and prepare to get your kicks this October. And don’t forget, if you have access to EA Play or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you can access an early trial of the game a week beforehand for a few hours!
