Remedy Entertainment’s Control has become a huge hit since its release a while back, selling millions of copies and turning into one of the company’s more prominent releases. Well, hang on, because the Agency is about to get even more out of whack.
The company has confirmed that it’s entered into an elaborate co- publishing and developing deal alongside Control’s publisher, 505 Games. With that, it intends to launch a multiplayer spin-off for the game.
But that’s not all, as there appears to be plans in place for a much bigger-budget Control game, though it’s unknown if it’s a sequel or a spin-off as well.
The multiplayer game, under the code name Condor, is currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X and PC, and will support up to four players. There’s no release date for it just yet, as it’s currently in development, using Remedy’s Northlight engine.
In a blog entry, the company detailed what it has in store for the series’ future, as it can “create shared experiences without compromising the unique DNA of who we are, or the stories we want to tell.” It also has “something ambitious” planned for the new Control game, but remains tight-lipped about what it is.
For now, fans can check out the original Control, and its DLC, for Xbox and PlayStation platforms, as well as PC. Check out the trailer below!
