Sucker Punch’s exquisite Ghost of Tsushima was one of the best games to come out for PlayStation 4 last year when it initially arrived. But since that time, the developer has been making the game even better, with a new co-op multiplayer component and improvements to make the game even more beautiful on PlayStation 5. And now, it looks like a new version is on the way.
The ESRB has provided an official rating for Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut, which appears to be heading to both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. As expected, it’s rated M for Mature for “blood and gore, intense violence, language and partial nudity,” per the listing.
Sony hasn’t officially announced the game yet, but with an official rating out there, it’s just a matter of time.
The company has heralded the game since its release last year, as it managed to sell a whopping 2.4 million copies in its first three days of release alone. It also confirmed that a movie version of the game is in the works, with John Wick director Chad Stahelski set to handle it. No word on when it’ll begin production.
It’s nice to see Ghost of Tsushima continue to get love from Sony, especially considering how great a game it really is. Relive the awesome trailer below, and we’ll let you know when it gets a release date. You can enjoy the original Tsushima – and all the rad perks that come with it – now.
