Conventions seem to be getting back into full swing, with PAX West set to launch with a somewhat smaller capacity in September, and other shows taking place.
But, for now, there are still a number of digital shows – and one that’s of interest to fans of The Witcher takes place in a few days!
WitcherCon, previously announced during Netflix’s E3 presentation, will happen on July 9th. It’s set to be a celebration of “all things Witcher”, with Netflix promoting the forthcoming second season of the live-action series with Henry Cavill, along with CD Project Red being on hand to discuss the lore of the games.
Now, what you shouldn’t expect is anything pertaining to a new Witcher game. As neat as the idea would be, it’s just not happening for the developer, as they’re still knee deep in plans for Cyberpunk 2077. That said, however, there have been talks about bringing The Witcher III: Wild Hunt and its DLC packs to next-gen consoles; and WitcherCon could be the place where we get a look at it in action, along with its many improvements.
“In case you’re wondering, no new Witcher game will be announced at WitcherCon, but there are still lots of reasons to tune in!” the official show blurb reads.
And, of course, we’ll see lots of The Witcher’s second season on Netflix, including a potential release date and exclusive clips.
Check out the trailer for the event below, and get ready for July 9th. It’s bound to be a very busy day!
