Super Mario Party came out a little while back and did a pretty good job at innovating the long-running multiplayer franchise on Nintendo Switch. That said, it wasn’t exactly everyone’s cup of joe, especially considering its limited controls and lack of single player content. But don’t worry, gamers – you’ll soon have the classic Mario Party experience you deserve.
During today’s Nintendo Direct at E3, the company revealed Mario Party Superstars, which will be available for purchase on the Switch starting on October 29. Rather than following Super Mario Party’s new-fangled tech, it’ll lean more towards the old-school, akin to the classic Nintendo 64 games.
The compilation will feature five classic boards from the N64 era, as well as over 100 minigames that you can compete in. What’s more, multiplayer is wide open. Along with playing locally with
AI and friends, you can also hop online and take part in matches, and even drop into games in case you feel like a few quick rounds.
The trailer is below and features a lot of fun gameplay – which should be just the thing classic Mario Party connoisseurs can indulge in.
