Insomniac Games is hard at work on the newest Ratchet and Clank game, Rift Apart, which is set to arrive this June. But to provide a taste of what PS5 owners will have in store once it arrives, they’ve provided details on an update to its 2016 PS4 release Ratchet and Clank, allowing it to run at a beautiful 60 frames per second speed on PlayStation 5.
That update was supposed to drop in April, but – surprise! It’s out today, and now players can experience it in finer detail than ever before!
With the update, the game’s frame rate is nicely sped up, similar to what God of War and Ghost of Tsushima got with their updates. Of course, that means you’ll probably want to shift the game over to the PlayStation 5 storage, where it’ll perform the best. Fortunately, it’s not too hefty in size, unlike Insomniac’s Spider-Man games.
And what’s more, you still have till the end of today to snag Ratchet and Clank for free with Sony’s Play at Home program. It does expire on March 31st – again, today – so you might want to jump on that.
Check out the game’s original trailer below, then head over and download it and enjoy it on PS5!
Don’t have a PlayStation 5 yet? Not to worry – we can fix that!
