Although it hasn’t exactly gotten off to the greatest of starts, Marvel’s Avengers is set to pick up steam next month when it makes its debut on the next-gen front.
During a War Table Deep Dive earlier today, Crystal Dynamics provided a release date for Marvel’s Avengers on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. It’ll make its debut on March 18th, and will be offered as a free upgrade for those that already purchased the game on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, respectively. Those that didn’t get the game can buy the full version with the additional expansions, featuring Kate Bishop and Hawkeye.
The next-gen version will feature “significantly faster load times,” along with frame rate improvements, haptic feedback support on PS5, and better technical running overall. Fans are sure to love it.
Speaking of Hawkeye, his story will also align on March 18th, with his character making his debut in the game. He’ll feature all kinds of arrow types, including a Boomerang and a Tripwire type, as well as a katana and a Quick Reflex dodge/parry.
The story will focus on Future Imperfect, in which Clint and Kate have to team up to save the world from the Kree. But there’s also some interesting wrinkles involving Nick Fury and Old Man Hawkeye, as well as the devastating Maestro. Check out that trailer below.
Marvel’s Avengers is available now, and we think it’s pretty rad!
