While there are a number of PS5 games you can enjoy at the moment (if you have the new hardware that is), you’d be surprised how enjoyable the 2018 release God of War is on the system. It runs at a beautiful 60 frames per second, with nary a hint of loading time and, of course, lots of action to look at. But now, it’s about to look even better.
Sony Santa Monica Studio announced on its blog today that a new update will come to the game starting tomorrow, making it even more visually enhanced on the PlayStation 5.
Beforehand, players had to choose between performance mode (60 FPS) or detailed resolution.
But after the update, they’ll be able to have both.
The Enhanced Performance Experience patch will enable synching up to 60 frames per second, along with 4K checkerboard resolution at 2160p. The Original Performance Experience will still remain available at 30 frames per second, for those that prefer. (Keep in mind you do need a 4K compatible television to spot the difference.)
The patch should be ready tomorrow, so prepare to download it (it’s free) and enjoy the mind- blowing experience like never before!
God of War is available now on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. It’s also part of the PlayStation Plus Collection on PS5.
