If you’ve been waiting for a solid month of offerings from PlayStation Plus, you’re about to get it.
Sony recently announced the freebies that are part of the program for the month of February, and it’s easily one of the company’s biggest offerings to date. Let’s break down what you’ll be able to download for free starting on February 2nd!
Destruction All-Stars
Originally announced as a title set to debut during the PS5 launch, Sony opted to delay this one when Lucid Games (the creators of Blur and Geometry Wars) asked for a little more development time. Well, as a reward for owners’ patience, it’ll now be a freebie when it becomes available this February.
A multiplayer game that’s part Rocket League and part Twisted Metal (with a hint of Fortnite thrown in), here’s how the game is described by the official devs:
Entertain the crowds by bringing controlled chaos to the vehicular combat arena of this metal-crunching multiplayer game*. Pick one of 16 superstar competitors, then leap into four game modes, using timing, tactics and skills to cause carnage behind the wheel or create havoc with your parkour skills. Perfect your character’s abilities – including a hero vehicle unique to them – to give you the edge in free-for-all battles or team challenges and become Global Destruction Federation Champion. The game also supports PS5’s Game Help feature, giving you hints and tips to become the ultimate destructive machine without the need to leave the game.
This sounds like it’ll be quite a party. Be sure not to miss it!
Control: Ultimate Edition
Developed by Remedy Entertainment, Control is a remarkable adventure where you control a female agent investigating the strange surroundings at a local agency. Floating bodies, supernatural enemies and mysterious images are just the beginning of what’s to be found here.
What’s great about this offering is that this edition of the game will take advantage of the PS5.
That means faster frame rates, more detailed visuals and much, much more. Not to mention that it’s the Ultimate Edition, which means the DLC is included – and that means a chapter featuring the return of Alan Wake!
Concrete Genie
Welcome to the mysterious city of Denska, where you are an artist working alongside hand- crafted creatures against devastating enemies. But instead of fighting your way out, you’ll spray paint to your heart’s content as you solve puzzles and take back the city, with the help of your beloved Genies.
This is a fun title for young players and adventurers alike, and a nice addition to the PlayStation Plus library.
If you’re a subscriber, you can download all of these games throughout the month of February.
