It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year and a half since Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled came out for consoles. The game has been a smash success for Activision and the developers at Beenox, with nice visuals, a fun array of tracks to race through, enjoyable multiplayer options and a bevy of new events added via game updates. But if you somehow still haven’t been able to check the game out, there’s no better time to give it a go than this week on the Nintendo Switch.
Nintendo has announced a limited time full game trial for Crash Team Racing on its platform. Starting today, December 30th at 11:00 AM PDT, and running through January 5th at 11:59 PM PDT, you’ll be able to enjoy the full game on the house. That’s right, all of its content. You can either race on your own through the jam-packed single player campaign, or dare to challenge your friends locally and with online races.
All you have to do is look for the free trial through the Nintendo eShop and download it to participate. From there, you’ve got a full week to enjoy everything the game has to offer.
Alas, there doesn’t appear to be any kind of sale going along with Crash Team Racing’s trial, which seems like a wasted opportunity. Still, there is a pretty good chance that Activision could introduce one, depending on its popularity.
Just be aware that as you download the full game, you’ll need ample space on your memory card. It takes up about 9.3GB of space with updates, so make sure you’ve got room cleared.
Check out the game’s profile here, and watch the trailer below to soak in all its racing goodness.
We’ll see you on the track!
